Archimedes' Principle |
![]() |
According to legend, Archimedes, a Greek scientist, was bathing when he observed that the water level rose when he got into the tub. From there, he reasoned that the entered object displaces a liquid volume equal to its own volume, and also found a strength, buotancy, which appears when you insert any object into a liquid. This force is vertically upward, opposing the weight.
