Surely, we have heard of optical fiber more than once. But, what is it? In t he following video we'll explain how it works, and their physical basics.

In the video, Juan tells us about the theory concerning the optical fiber: two cylinders, one inside another, with different refractive indexes. As a result, light entering one end will bounce off the walls until it exits by the other side. He also explains that, at higher angles of rotation, more energy is lost, but mainly over long distances. After, he shows the operation with a LED, and a practical application with a system that uses optical fiber to play sounds through a loudspeaker that receives via microphone.
