- Cathetus: each of the two smaller sides of a rectangle triangle. They are opposite to the the non-right angles.
- Complementary: two angles are complementary among themselves if their sum is 90º. The complementary angle of the angle α is the angle 90-α.
- Hypotenuse: the longest side of a rectangle triangle; it is facing the right angle.
- Orthogonal projection: of a segment on a line, it is the segment that covers the line resulting of drawing perpendicular lines from the line to the end of the original segment.
- Suplementary: two angles are suplementary if their sum is 180º. The complementary angle of α is 180-α.
